The Maverick Wellness initiative supports a campus-wide environment and culture of wellbeing that promotes the value of wellness within our lives. Our commitment is to provide wellness programs, resources, and tools to encourage and enable our Campus to take charge of their health and wellness.
Our Wellness Philosophy is to provide people-centered education and interactive approaches to improve lives by cultivating employees’ physical and mental well-being utilizing the holistic 8 dimensions of wellness model.

Mental Health First Aid Training for Faculty and Staff
Learn about the emotional dimension of wellness and become a resource to support others with mental health concerns.
Complete this free training event to earn a three-year certification in Mental Health First Aid.

Blazing Race

Join TCE Wellness and your fellow Mavericks on Wednesday May 22, 2024 for the Blazing Race at Brazos Park! Get your Maverick Spirit on during this fun run and get your chance to win prizes. There will be fun and engaging activities to help you de-stress and get active. The Blazing Race is a rain-or-shine event, so get ready to get fit no matter the weather! Fill out the registration form with your team of 2-6 people. The first 200 to register will receive a Blazing Race T-shirt! Registration opens May 1. Register by May 16th to secure your spot and meal passes.

Spring Forward Team Challenge
Challenge dates: April 1st - May 5th, 2024
- Participants across UT System institutions can form a new team or join an existing one upon challenge registration beginning Monday, April 1st.
- Each team will have 3-5 members.
- The goal is for each team to collectively log 4,000 minutes of activities that exercise your body or mind including: walking, gardening, running, biking, mediation, yoga, etc.

Once you’ve registered at ut.limeade.com, download the UT Living Well app powered by Limeade ONE (available for iOS or Android) and enter “UTX” or "University of Texas System" to get started.
The UT Living Well platform powered by Limeade is available to UT SELECT™ members (employees, retirees, and dependents) ages 18+.

Up to 1.5 hours of release time may be granted each week to full-time employees for the participation in physical activities through the Living Well Release Time Program. Click here for more information.
